The stator winding
is an important part of the Motor Cycles. During the
rainy seasons moisture gets accumulated on the surface of the
Stator Coil. It reduces the
efficiency of the Stator winding and there
on the Motor Cycle. Therefore it has
become important to coat the surface of
the Stator winding with specific resins.
M/s Gudhi Engineering has developed a special purpose
machine to impregnate at the same time
three stator windings of flywheel
magnetos with a specific resin.
Each stator is
prepared outside the machine and wired on a
mechanical interface having a suitable
but fixed three way quick connection
system that snaps-in to the main rotating shaft. The
resulting connection points on the
rotating shaft are then connected to
three slipping rings which receive the electrical power from an
external three phase A.C. power supply.
The stator rotates by
means of a variable speed brushless or stepper
motor. The drives to all stators by
means of gears or similar.
The stators are heated
at defined temperatures through a suitable
electrical current supply flowing into
them. Impregnation is performed by
dipping them while rotating into an impregnation tank containing
heated resin which is kept at a
constant level by overflow achieved
by continuously pumping resin to
the impregnation tank in a closed
loop system. This operating
principle achieves a constant impregnation
level independent of impregnation time and stator
volumes.
After impregnation,
curing is performed at suitable current levels and
time. Cleaning of the resin in excess
is also performed at a given time with
a pneumatically operated suitable tool.
Control
Panel: Non FLP, PLC based Electro-pneumatic control panel
is provided. The panel is designed as
per the Indian Electrical Standard
norms. The entire machine is operated vide mini laptop
provided on the machine.
